Ashin is filled with love and gratitude after F4’s “F Fourever” concert in the Philippines with Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Vanness Wu
On Instagram, the Mayday singer, who joined the F4 lineup, posted a photo of himself at Jones Bridge in Manila along with a touching message to fans in Filipino, English, and Taiwanese.
“Mahal naming Manila, salamat,” Ashin said.
“Tonight, the lights of City of Stars came on, and slowly faded. But your voices are still echoing in our hearts,” he added. “From the very first song to the final ‘thank you,’ your passion turned this city into the brightest sky of the night.”
According to Ashin, the 20 years of time and distance it took for F4’s reunion “have never really mattered, because music always finds a way to bring us back to each other.”
“Hold on to this moment. If you start to miss us, remember tonight’s smiles and voices first,” Ashin said.
“Hindi ito goodbye,” he added, and said that it is only “until we meet again.”
“Hanggang sa muli. Sana, hindi na masyadong matagal,” Ashin said. “Maraming salamat, Manila.”
F4 held their much-awaited concert at the Philippine Arena on June 27 as part of their “F Forever” tour. Original member Ken Chu did not join the show.
The band donated P2.5 million to GMA Kapuso Foundation’s Operation Bayanihan project for the victims of the recent earthquake in Mindanao, which affected nearly 1.6 million people.
F4 was formed in 2001 following their appearance on the hit series “Meteor Garden” alongside the late actress Barbie Hsu.
The band is best known for the songs “Meteor Rain,” “Can’t Lose You,” and their cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” among others.
