Firefighters rush to rubbish fire
- A dramatic video has captured an inner-city fire over the weekend.
- Firefighters rushed to a rubbish fire on Mina Road in St Werburghs in the early hours of the morning on Sunday (June 28).
- Avon Fire and Rescue said they were called to the fire at 1.08am and that crews from Temple fire station attended.
- Firefighters used a high-pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, a thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hot spots.
- The fire service said the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental. A witness got footage of the fire which showed smoke billowing.
- A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: “At 1.08am on June 28, crews from Temple fire station responded to a fire on Mina Road, Bristol. Firefighters used a high-pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire. A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hot spots. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
