Donald Trump has used an urgent address to the nation to raise concerns about the 2020 election and possible ‘China meddling’.
The US leader addressede America at 2am UK time on Friday, July 17.
Borehand, Trump shared little about his upcoming speech – simply stating his address will contain “really big news” about election security.
The American president told reporters on Tuesday: “It doesn’t get bigger, because without free and fair elections, you don’t have a country.”
He then elevated his yearslong push to raise doubts about the legitimacy of U.S. elections and dispute his 2020 loss in an appeal for more restrictive voting laws ahead of the midterms.
“America is back and doing really well, but we still have a major challenge that must be urgently addressed, because no country can be great without fair and honest elections,” he said.
