Boy who vanished from holiday park found safe after four-day search


A teenage boy who went missing from the Talacre area has been found safe and well, police have confirmed today (Wednesday). 16-year-old Rhys disappeared from the Talacre Beach Resort on Sunday evening.

A major search was launched, involving police, search and rescue crews, the RNLI, Coastguard, and family and community members. Concerns continued to grow for the boy as the search entered its fourth day today, with a new plea for support issued this morning.

Now, police have confirmed Rhys has been found. Chief Inspector Caroline Mullen-Hurst said: “Over the last few days, extensive searches have been undertaken, together with door to door enquiries in the local area.

“I would like to thank our colleagues at NEWSAR, RNLI, HM Coastguard and also members of the public who have all provided invaluable help in the search for Rhys.”
