Air ambulance in major emergency response on Clacton Beach


Emergency crews were called to the seafront earlier today (Saturday, July 25), with witnesses reporting a significant presence of police, paramedics, and rescue teams.

The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance has been seen landing near the beach, while a coastguard helicopter is also assisting at the scene.

Several ambulances and police vehicles are in the area.

Details about the nature of the incident have not yet been confirmed.

Essex Police said all emergency services attended the scene near Clacton Pier shortly after 4.30pm today (Saturday, July 25), including the air ambulance.

A spokesperson said ambulance crews reported that three people had got into difficulty in the water and were brought safely ashore.

All three required medical treatment and have since been taken to hospital for further care.

Police thanked members of the public for following instructions while emergency services responded to the incident.
