Spider-Man: Brand New Day Hindi dub gets a hilarious Taarak Mehta twist. Watch

Marvel fans were left amused after seeing a hilarious Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah reference in the Hindi-dubbed version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. A clip from the film has gone viral on social media, featuring Jacob Batalon’s Ned and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker casually dropping references to popular characters from the beloved sitcom.

In the viral clip, Ned tries to persuade Peter, who is Spider-Man, to reveal a secret and says, ā€œBata bhi do mota bhai, risk hai toh ishq haiā€ (Just tell us, big brother, if there’s risk, there’s passion).

Peter responds, ā€œSeth ji, Baga yeh raaz Bawri ko bhi nahi batayegaā€ (Seth ji, Baga won’t reveal this secret to Bawri either).

Baga and Bawri are popular characters from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, making the unexpected crossover a fun surprise for fans of the show. The reference quickly left social media users amused, with the clip sparking reactions online.

For those unversed, Bagha is Jethalal’s quirky employee at Gada Electronics, while Bawri is his fiance, known for her signature catchphrase, ā€œGalti se mistake ho gayi,ā€ and her distinctive way of calling him ā€œBa–gha.ā€

Interestingly, the original English version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day features a reference to Game of Thrones. The Hindi dub, however, swaps it for the distinctly desi Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah reference.

The sitcom has also had its own Spider-Man moment. In a recent episode, a masked superhero inspired by Spider-Man made an appearance in Gokuldham Society, adding another playful connection between the two popular franchises.

Meanwhile, even before completing its first week, Spider-Man: Brand New Day had already made its mark at the box office. The film recorded the highest-grossing Monday in North American history with $47 million (around Rs 411 crore), followed by the biggest Tuesday ever with $42 million (around Rs 368 crore). Both milestones surpassed records previously held by Black Panther and Spider-Man: No Way Home, respectively.

The Marvel film also became the fastest release to cross $400 million (around Rs 3,500 crore) in North America, achieving the feat in just four days.
