A419 latest after crash near junction with M5


A stretch of the A419 is partially blocked with queuing traffic following a two-vehicle crash between Spring Hill and the M5 junction 13 (Stroud).

The road was previously fully closed but has since reopened, with traffic now able to pass the scene.

According to AA traffic maps at 1.30pm, there is heavy traffic along the A419, from its junction with the M5, through to the roundabout at Great Oldbury.

As of nearly 4pm, traffic remains extremely slow in the area, according to the AA traffic maps.

 A police spokesperson said: “We were called to the A419 in Stonehouse at around 11.55am today (Friday) with a report of a two vehicle collision.

“The collision took place at the roundabout for Spring Hill and the stretch of road remains blocked from the M5 junction 13 Stroudwater interchange.

“Those involved in the collision are not believed to have sustained any injuries.”
