NTA Announces Re-examination for 49 Candidates Affected by Power Outage at AIAPGET 2026 Centre

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced a re-examination for 49 candidates who were unable to complete the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026 due to an unexpected power failure at their designated testing center in Jaipur.

The remedial examination is scheduled to take place on September 1, 2026, commencing at 10:00 AM.

Incident Overview

The primary examination was held nationwide on August 22, 2026. Out of the 36,979 candidates registered for Shift 1, approximately 35,837 individuals appeared at 200 centers across the country.

However, at the Shri Satya Sai PG College centre in Jaipur, a technical disruption caused by a power failure prevented 49 out of the 192 present candidates from completing their test. The NTA has officially attributed the disruption to the lapses of the examination conducting agency, M/S Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited.

Details Regarding the Re-examination

To maintain the integrity of the selection process and ensure fairness for the affected students, the NTA has arranged for a fresh attempt at the examination. According to the official notification, the new test venue details are as follows:

The AIAPGET 2026 serves as the critical gateway for students seeking admission into postgraduate MD, MS, and PG diploma programs in traditional Indian medicine and homeopathy, including Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy systems. The NTA remains committed to ensuring that the technical failure in Jaipur does not adversely impact the academic aspirations of the affected students.
