BREAKING: Chelsea star Estevao forced off vs Man Utd with injury that could end his season

Chelsea had to make an early substitution during their Premier League match against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge due to injury

Estevao forced Chelsea into an early substitution during their Premier League match against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge after sustaining a hamstring injury. Depending on the seriousness of this setback, it could prematurely end his season.

The Brazil international lasted barely a quarter of an hour before having to be replaced by Alejandro Garnacho. Estevao’s replacement came on to face his former club for the first time.

This latest setback comes barely a month after returning from another hamstring injury. The 18-year-old missed half a dozen matches due to that last issue, and Chelsea only have six more games left.

Estevao made his first Premier League start for two months against Manchester City last weekend, but now faces another spell on the sidelines. There are also fewer than two months to go before this summer’s World Cup.

Liam Rosenior highlighted Estevao before the match. He told TNT Sports: Asked about the player’s strengths, he said: “Just his fearlessness. His technicality, his ability to go 1v1 or 2v1 again sometimes. He’s an outstanding player.

“He’s worked so hard, he wants to learn.” Rosenior continued to praise the player for his attitude, as he added: “He’s very humble, he wants to improve.

“He’s always got a smile on his face. Which I love, because he genuinely enjoys playing football, and he’s got a great family as well that have brought him up in an amazing way.

“So when you have that grounding, you can go on to do anything you want in your career. He can be as good as he wants to be, anything that he wants to do.”

Rosenior, however, refused to be drawn on Estevao one day winning the Ballon d’Or. He said: “I don’t like to speak about individual accolades. I just want him to focus on the now and keep improving.

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.

Sky broadcasts more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more with at least 215 live from the top flight alongside Formula 1, darts and golf.

“But like I said, with his temperament and with his ability, he can do anything he wants with a bit of luck and some hard work.” Estevao, however, has not had that bit of luck with injuries this season.

He has missed ten matches in total due to injury or illness. However, the forward has scored eight goals and assisted another three during his debut season in England.
