Dr Bharat Bhushan nominated to Hindi Advisory Committee

JAMMU, July 10: Eminent Hindi scholar, educationist and language expert Dr Bharat Bhushan Sharma has been nominated as a Non-Official Member of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India.

The nomination has been made by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, as part of the reconstitution of the Ministry’s Hindi Advisory Committee.

A former Principal of Government Degree College, Nowshera, Dr Sharma has made significant contributions to the promotion of Hindi, Dogri and Sanskrit through teaching, translation, lexicography, editing and research. He has served as a language expert for several prestigious national projects and has authored, translated and edited numerous scholarly works.

Dr Sharma has received several national honours for his contribution to Hindi and Indian languages and has earlier served as a member of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Defence.
