Duck King gameplay trailer released for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and he'll be dancing on the stage with his chicks next week

The highly anticipated Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is maintaining its vigorous release schedule for downloadable content characters. Following the addition of Rick Strowd last month, fans are now eagerly awaiting the return of a long-standing fan favorite.

After years spent largely out of the spotlight in mainline installments, Duck King is finally making his grand re-entry. SNK has just unveiled an electrifying gameplay trailer for the flamboyant dance master in City of the Wolves, showcasing his revamped moves and signature style.

Despite being an integral part of the Fatal Fury series since its inception, Duck King’s last appearance in a core title was nearly three decades ago in Real Bout 2, although he did make a memorable cameo in The King of Fighters 11. Now, having presumably honed his unique fighting style and even apparently tutored Salvatore Ganacci, Duck King is back on the neon-lit streets of South Town, ready to confront old adversaries and settle some new scores.

Enthusiasts of the charismatic dancer will undoubtedly recognize that his distinctive flair and audacious style remain completely intact, though his appearance has been subtly updated for this latest incarnation. The recently released trailer provides a tantalizing glimpse into his combat prowess, confirming the return of classic techniques such as his Head Spin Attack and Break Storm. Additionally, fans can look forward to the devastating Break Spiral, which makes a comeback as one of his potent Gear Supers.

Beyond his established repertoire, it appears Duck King has also incorporated some fresh, dynamic dance moves into his fighting arsenal. The trailer hints at a new special powered-up mode, featuring a multi-step attack system with various follow-up options, promising an even more intricate and engaging playstyle for seasoned players and newcomers alike.

Duck King’s individual story in EOST sees him embarking on a personal quest for vengeance against the formidable Wolfgang Krauser. However, to stand a chance against the formidable emperor, he will undoubtedly need to have significantly elevated his combat abilities. In his Arcade Mode narrative, the dancer sets his sights on clinching victory in the latest King of Fighters tournament. His motivation? To secure the hefty prize money required to safeguard his beloved Pao Pao Café from an impending takeover, adding a layer of personal stakes to his participation.

Providing the voice for Duck King are two talented actors: Anri Katsu lends his voice to the Japanese version, while Cedric Williams delivers the character’s lines in English. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to experience Duck King’s return, as he is officially scheduled for release on Thursday, August 27th.

Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has already delivered Rick, with Duck King poised to follow. The season promises further exciting additions, including Kim Kaphwan, Laocorn, and two additional mystery fighters, ensuring a steady stream of new content to round out the year. Below, you can delve into Duck King’s complete gameplay trailer and explore a collection of official screenshots that highlight his renewed presence in the fighting arena.
