FCC Environment reaffirms commitment to Armed Forces community


FCC Environment has formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting serving personnel, veterans, reservists and their families across the business.

The occasion was marked with a signing event and official photographs as FCC Environment’s Senior Leadership Team welcomed a group of current and former Armed Forces colleagues to join them, recognising the valuable contribution ex‑service personnel make to the organisation.

By re‑signing the Covenant, FCC Environment is reinforcing its long‑standing commitment to fair and inclusive recruitment, supporting colleagues who are reservists, and creating a workplace where members of the Armed Forces community feel valued, understood and supported throughout their careers.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a national promise ensuring that those who serve or have served in the UK Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and not disadvantaged compared to other citizens. Its purpose is to ensure that members of the Armed Forces and their dependents are not disadvantaged in accessing public and commercial services compared to the general population. Special consideration is given to those who have been injured in service and to the families of the bereaved.

The Armed Forces Covenant reflects FCC Environment’s belief that skills developed through military service — including leadership, teamwork, resilience and the ability to perform under pressure — transfer strongly into the resource ;and waste management sector.

FCC Environment first signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2019 and continues to build on that commitment through recruitment, internal networks and practical workplace support.
