Turning Books into AI-Powered Tools
The core of the Expert Intelligence initiative allows users to import selected eBooks purchased from Google Play Books directly into Gemini Notebook. Once added, the AI can treat these books as primary sources, providing responses that are grounded specifically in the text of the book.
Beyond simple Q&A, users can leverage Gemini’s generative capabilities to create infographics, generate audio overviews, and build customized quizzes based on the material. This effectively turns a static book into an interactive, personalized study or work assistant.

Google highlighted several scenarios to demonstrate the utility of this feature, emphasizing how it bridges the gap between expert knowledge and personal application:
