The Ministry of Communications has officially announced the reconstitution of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Department of Posts, a pivotal body dedicated to promoting the progressive use of Hindi within governmental functions. A significant development in this reconstitution is the appointment of Ankush Goyal from Assam as a Non-Official Member of the Committee.

This appointment, sanctioned by the Ministry of Home Affairs, underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening the implementation of the Official Language policy across its various departments. The formal communication detailing Goyal’s inclusion was issued by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, following approval from the Minister of State for Home Affairs.

The Hindi Advisory Committee serves as an essential forum, facilitating consultation, deliberation, and the submission of suggestions pertaining to the enhanced usage and promotion of Hindi. Its mandate also includes overseeing the effective implementation of the Official Language policy within the Department of Posts, ensuring Hindi’s role is progressively integrated into official work processes.

Following his appointment, Ankush Goyal conveyed his profound gratitude to the Central Government and the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party, both at the central and state levels. He expressed appreciation for the trust reposed in him, acknowledging the significant responsibility that comes with this new role.

Goyal affirmed his dedication to his new duties, stating his commitment to discharging his responsibilities with “sincerity, dedication, and commitment.” He further pledged to make every conceivable effort to contribute meaningfully towards the promotion and effective use of Hindi in official work. He specifically extended his thanks to the Honourable Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, alongside the central and Assam Pradesh leadership of the BJP, for their unwavering faith and confidence in his capabilities.

The inclusion of non-official members like Ankush Goyal in the Hindi Advisory Committee is a strategic move designed to foster broader participation and inject diverse perspectives into critical discussions concerning the use, promotion, and effective implementation of Hindi as the Official Language. Ankush Goyal, originally hailing from Haryana, has a long-standing and active association with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam, spanning nearly two decades. His involvement with the party dates back to 2007, where he has consistently served as an active BJP worker. Currently, Goyal holds the position of Treasurer for the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Assam Pradesh, showcasing his significant engagement within the party’s youth wing.

Through his sustained involvement in numerous organisational and political activities, Goyal has steadily risen to prominence as a dynamic and committed young leader within the party ranks. His recent appointment as a Non-Official Member of the Hindi Advisory Committee is widely regarded as a pivotal milestone in his evolving organisational journey, marking a new chapter in his service to public life and language promotion.
