Muse India Expands Localized Anime Slate with Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu Dubs of ‘Mob Psycho 100’
Anime fans in India have more reasons to celebrate as Muse India continues to bolster its regional content offerings. The company’s official YouTube channel has officially begun streaming the highly anticipated third season of the hit series Mob Psycho 100 with localized dubs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The release follows a steady rollout of the franchise on the platform, with the Mob Psycho 100 II OVA (Original Video Animation) also receiving the same multilingual treatment just one day prior.
A Global Phenomenon
Created by ONE—the visionary behind One-Punch Man—Mob Psycho 100 follows Shigeo Kageyama, an unassuming middle schooler known as "Mob." While he appears to be an average boy, Mob possesses immense psychic abilities that threaten to spiral out of control whenever his emotional "percentage" reaches 100. Despite his god-like powers, Mob’s primary goal remains the pursuit of a normal, peaceful adolescence.
The anime adaptation first captured international attention in 2016, with the second season following in 2019. The third and final season, which originally aired in October 2022, serves as the emotional conclusion to Mob’s journey.
Availability in India
The expansion of regional dubs is part of a broader trend of increased accessibility for anime in the Indian market. In addition to the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs of Mob Psycho 100 III on YouTube, the series remains available across several major streaming platforms:
- JioCinema: The franchise was added as a marquee launch title for the platform’s dedicated "Anime Hub" in May 2024.
- Netflix: The streaming giant has long been a home for the series, having previously simulcast the third season and added earlier seasons to its Indian library.
- Crunchyroll: The global anime powerhouse continues to host the series for international subscribers.
- Anime Times: The service also currently provides access to the series for Indian viewers.
A Legacy Beyond Animation
Since its debut in 2012 on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday service, Mob Psycho 100 has evolved into a massive multi-media franchise. Following the conclusion of the original manga in 2017, the story has seen successful adaptations across various mediums, including a live-action series co-produced by Netflix and TV Tokyo, multiple stage plays, and a popular spinoff manga titled Mob Psycho 100: Reigen.
With these new regional dubs, Muse India is ensuring that one of the most acclaimed series of the last decade is accessible to a wider audience than ever before, further solidifying the mainstream popularity of anime within India.
