Indonesian Comedian Temon Templar Passes Away at 59


TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian comedian Simson Rarameha Ngadang, better known as Temon Templar, passed away on Sunday, 12th of July, 2026, at 08:42 AM Western Indonesia Time, at the age of 59.

This sad news was conveyed through his official Instagram account @temontemplar27. His post explained that Temon was laid to rest at Pondok Karya Blok E number 42, Pela Mampang, South Jakarta.

Abdel Achrian expressed his deep sorrow over Temon’s passing. Widely known for his role in the sitcom ‘Abdel & Temon: Not a Superstar’ which aired in 2008 and starred alongside Abdel Achrian, after hearing about Temon’s death, Abdel shared a photo of their memories on his personal Instagram account, writing, “Innalilahi wainnailaihi rojiun. Farewell Mon,” in the photo caption.

Aside from Abdel, fellow comedian Bopak Castello also deeply mourned Temon’s passing. Through a post on Instagram, Bopak shared several photos of them together. “Farewell Temon, may you be at peace there… a good friend who brought joy…,” wrote Bopak.

Temon was born in Jakarta on December 28th, 1966. He pursued higher education at the University of Indonesia and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In addition to ‘Abdel & Temon: Not a Superstar’, he also appeared in several soap operas such as ‘Preman Sholeh’ and ‘Menolak Talak’.

Not only on television, Temon was also quite active in the film industry. He appeared in several popular films, such as ‘Epen Cupen The Movie’, ‘COMIC 8: Casino Kings’, and ‘Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1’.
