Kishtwar ‘crash’: Indian Air Force responds to plane crash reports | World | News


A plane has reportedly crashed in Kishtwar, India, as smoke is pictured billowing above the mountainous region of India. Reports on social media claimed the plane belonged to the Indian Air Force, though this was later disproven. Images shared show a big plume of grey smoke pouring into the sky from the side of a mountain. A loud bang was also reportedly heard around the time of the crash.

A spokesperson for the Indian Air Force said reports of one of its planes crashing are false. They said: “There are certain media outlets and SM handles claiming an IAF aircraft has crashed near Kishtwar. This report is false. All media outlets are requested to verify information from Official sources before publishing/transmitting.”
