Lafayette-based Home Bancorp Inc., the parent company of Home Bank, generated $11.6 million of net income during the second quarter, up $255,000 from the previous quarter.
Per share earnings remained at $1.48 per diluted common share, bank officials announced this week.
Loans totaled $2.8 billion as of June 30, up $50.7 million from March 31. Total deposits reached $3.1 billion, up $42.1 million from March 31.
The average loan yield was 6.46% in the second quarter, up 5 basis points from the previous quarter, bank officials reported. The bank had growth in commercial real estate and multi-family loans, which were partially offset by declines in construction and land loans for the second quarter in most of its markets.
A highlight of the quarter was the company’s top executive title being split into two positions with John W. Bordelon staying as company and bank CEO and Darren Guidry taking on the role of bank and company president.
“We saw healthy loan growth during the second quarter after a slow start to the year,” Bordelon said. “Deposit growth continues to build momentum, and our loan-to-deposit ratio is at our target of 91%.”
