Liverpool is set to be glorious for two days

Liverpool is set to be hotter than Barcelona before rain moves into the region for the bank holiday weekend. Liverpool has enjoyed a week of sun and temperatures are set to rise over the course of the next two days.

The region will see sun continue throughout Wednesday, with clear skies and temperatures rising to 18C throughout the day. An easterly wind of around 17mph will continue throughout the day, although the UV will be high for those looking to catch a tan.

According to BBC Weather, Liverpool can expect a clear skied sunny day on Thursday, with temperatures rising to 21C by 4pm, with another day of high UV.

The pollen count will also be high and there will be a wind of around 18mph at the peak of the heat.

The Met Office predicts Liverpool will be even warmer, with the national forecaster stating the temperature will reach 23C in Merseyside tomorrow, with a wind of 15mph.

It comes as Barcelona is expected to reach 22C according to the BBC.

On the Met Office website, it said: “Today: Any early mist and fog patches will quickly clear this morning to leave blue skies.

“Winds will strengthen in the south but it will feel warm in any sheltered spots. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

“Tonight: Staying dry tonight with largely clear skies, although a veil of high cloud will move over at times.

“A patchy rural frost is possible in the coldest spots. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

“Thursday: Another dry and sunny day across the region. After a chilly start, it will warm up through the day, although a brisk wind will make it feel fresh in places. Maximum temperature 21 °C.”

Forecasters are predicting an increased chance of rain over the three-day weekend.

In its outlook for Friday to Sunday, the Met Office said: “A warm day on Friday and a little more humid with lighter winds.

“Turning increasingly cloudy through the weekend with an increasing risk of heavy showers, possibly thundery.”

BBC Weather said: “Friday will see areas of cloud, sunny spells and showers moving in from the southwest, some heavy at times. Cloudier on Saturday with occasional patches of light rain but a few sunny breaks too.

“A cooler day. After a dry start, Sunday looks to see heavy rain develop from the south.”
