Man Utd have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27 season and will wear it three times this month
Manchester United have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27 season – and will wear it for the first time when they face Nottingham Forest this weekend.
The public got a first glimpse of the new kit on Wednesday at Old Trafford when a giant poster on the outside of the stadium overlooking the forecourt went up. It has now been officially released, going on sale at Fanatics at 9am this morning.
It is inspired by the Red Devils’ kits of the 1970s and includes Adidas’ classic three stripes on the sleeves.
The Adidas kit will be worn when United return to the Champions League next season and will see the agreement with the sportswear giant return to usual levels, with a £10million deduction for non-Champions League seasons written into the contract.

Manchester United have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27 season, inspired by the club’s heritage and featuring a classic polo collar with iconic adidas details.
The Man United 2026/27 Home Kit is available at Fanatics. Fans can buy ‘replica’ or ‘authentic’ versions, each of which are also on sale at retailers including Kitbag, Sports Direct and the official Man United Store, with prices starting at £85 for adult shirts and £55 for kids.
The new kit will get its first official outing on Saturday, when United Women wear it against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their final WSL fixture of the season.
Michael Carrick’s side will then give it its Old Trafford debut on Sunday, as Brazil star Casemiro wears it in the final home game of his United career.
The first team will then wear it again on the final day of the season at Brighton.
In doing so, United will be breaking tradition as, for the first time, they will debut next season’s shirt at the end of an existing campaign.
It’s become increasingly common for clubs to show off their new kits in their last home game, something which the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have done for several years, but this will be the first time that United follow suit.
Man United fans have taken to social media to share their first impressions of the new home kit. Writing on X, one said: “Beautiful. Champions league batch will look wonderful on it.”
Another said: “I like this. Looks clean and slick.”
Not everyone is sold, as this commenter said: “Took the designer at Adidas about 10 minutes to come up with this eh?”
Nevertheless, another Reds fan said: “Clean kit. Manchester United always hits different in red.”
