A motorbiker has sadly died following a crash involving a car on Anglesey. The collision happened in the Burwen area. Police are appealing for witnesses.
A North Wales Police statement today said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Burwen, Anglesey.
“Shortly after 12pm today, Saturday 27 June, emergency services responded to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A5025 between Bull Bay and Cemaes. The incident involved a car and a motorcycle.
“Sadly, the male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The coroner and the man’s next of kin have been informed.” Get the latest island stories from our Anglesey newsletter – sent every Friday
Inspector Matt Halstead added: “I share my deepest condolences with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“I am appealing to anyone who was driving along the A5025 in Burwen shortly before midday todayand who may have witnessed the incident – or who may have relevant dash-cam footage – to come forward as soon as possible. Any information could be vital to the investigation.”
An air ambulance was also called to the scene, but returned to its base after. The road was closed for hours while emergency services worked at the scene.
