Nervous but Excited Too – Sai Pallavi on Her Hindi Debut

“Whatever I’ve done has led me here and I’m so grateful for the whole journey,” said Sai Pallavi, speaking about her Hindi debut Ek Din, co-starring Junaid Khan.

The South-based actress admitted to being nervous and excited at the same time, adding, “I am struggling with the language. But otherwise, it is as smooth as it can get.”

Looking back over her cinematic journey in Tamil and Telugu, she said, “I don’t know what work I have done, but I felt happy that jo bhi mene kiya, it brings me to people who are so talented and I end up being so humbled.”

Earlier, an emotional Aamir Khan, who co-produces Ek Din, described Sai Pallavi as the best contemporary Indian actress.

In reply, the actress said, “I am thankful to Aamir sir, for putting me in a space like this, picking me to be part of this movie where I’m able to enjoy this, feel so much of love.” She added, “Aamir sir is crazy enough to be that emotional in public…I sometimes wish that the lights were dimmed so that I can be more emotional.”

Sai said she fell for the screenplay of Ek Din from the word go. “I could see your emotions, I could see the visuals in front of me. It was absolutely beautiful.”

And she was all praise for her male lead too. “Junaid was an absolutely beautiful co-star. An obedient child, actually. He’s so nice. I had a great time.”
