Police have confirmed a tragic incident after emergency services were called to a street in Reddish on Monday (July 13). Paramedics along with officers from GMP were called to Gorton Road at around 11.45am.
Witnesses claimed there had been reports of someone ‘falling down the stairs’ at a property. Videos posted on social media showed a huge emergency response, with police vehicles lining the road close to the Dragon Palace restaurant.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they had been called to reports of a collapsed man and that he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

One witness posted on social media describing the incident as ‘very serious’, adding: “Hope everyone is safe as lots of police cars and ambulances outside Dragon Palace on Gorton Road.” Officers remained in attendance for a number of hours.
Issuing a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at 11.45am today to reports of a collapsed man at a property on Gorton Road, Reddish, Stockport.
“Despite best efforts of emergency services, the man sadly passed away at the scene.” No further details have been confirmed.
