Priyanka Chopra wants her Hollywood projects to reach the level of her Hindi-language career.

Priyanka Chopra wants to keep pushing on in Hollywood
The 43-year-old actress, who has worked extensively in both Bollywood and Hollywood, explained that she doesn’t have the same depth of back catalogue in her English-language career.
Speaking at the Cannes Lions conference on Wednesday (24.06.26), she said: “In my Hindi-language career, I’ve worked with all the best filmmakers and the best actors, I’ve told amazing stories and done a variety of genres.
“Whereas in America, in Hollywood, in my English-language work, I haven’t really done that as much.”
For her “next reinvention”, Priyanka is focused on “figuring out how, in (her) English-language work” she can bring the same “kind of variety to my characters that I have been able to do in India”.
The Heads of State star also pointed out how streaming has made it easier for more non-English projects to find an international audience, while the pandemic also provided a boost.
She added: “My mom loves Korean dramas. She would never have had access to those if it wasn’t for both of those factors.
“Or she’ll watch an Iranian movie. Or look at Squid Game when it became the phenomenon that it did, or Parasite when it won best picture.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka opened up on how getting married to Nick Jonas and having daughter Malti Marie, four, together means her “life has changed tremendously”.
She explained: “Your priorities really change. I don’t just pack my bags and go off for a movie anymore.
“I don’t do five films a year. I don’t travel the way I used to. I’m really, really selective about the time I spend and who I spend it with…
“I’m navigating working-mom life. I have so much more respect for my mother now.”
Priyanka recently opened up about her admiration for how her Indian fans have continued to support her after she moved to America.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I have really been blessed with incredible supporters and well-wishers when it comes to audiences who’ve liked my movies over the last 25 years.
“They have also supported me in very dark times, and they will take up fights for me and defend me. That really makes you feel like you’ve moved someone with your work, and that’s a really powerful feeling.
“So I do keep them in my heart. Whenever I’m making tough decisions and trying to figure out what to do next, having that support is very, very helpful.”
