Industry insiders indicate that Jio Studios is in final negotiations to bankroll this massive project. While Alia Bhatt is confirmed to reprise her role as Isha, all eyes are on the potential casting of Deepika Padukone. Though she made a fleeting, impactful appearance in the first installment, reports suggest she is in discussions to portray Amruta—the character slated to stand opposite the dark figure of Dev.
