Sarah Ferguson’s ex-boyfriend Paddy McNally has died aged 88 just two months after the sudden death of his son.

Paddy McNally, who enjoyed a romance with Sarah Ferguson for several years, has passed away at 88. McNally, who maintained his friendship with the former Duchess of York, has died merely two months following the unexpected passing of his son.

The Kent-born motorsport mogul’s cause of death remains unconfirmed at the moment. Whether Sarah has been informed of the news is unclear. Reports suggest the couple were together for three years from 1982 to 1985, maintaining their friendship throughout the years since.

Sarah, 66, is said to have first encountered him when she was employed to care for his sons Sean and Rollo following the death of his wife, whom he wed in 1967.

Sarah and McNally’s bond developed into romance, with Sarah reportedly hoping for marriage.

Though this never materialised, and Sarah subsequently wed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor roughly a year following their split, the duo maintained their connection as mates, reports the Express.

He is thought to have recently supported her by providing accommodation in his chalet amid the Epstein controversies. According to The Sun, McNally is said to have possessed several chalets in the Swiss ski destination Verbier from 1980.

Sarah is also reported to have used his Verbier chalet in 1997 alongside her two daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The princesses were also acquainted with McNally, appearing in photographs with him at the Cartier International Day at Guards Polo Club in 2004.

McNally’s heartbreaking death follows his son Sean’s passing in Scotland merely two months earlier.
