This figure represents the film’s lowest single-day collection to date in India, with its gross collection for the day standing at approximately 4.67 crore rupees. This sharp downturn marks a roughly 27.8% decrease from its performance on the preceding Thursday, when the superhero flick had managed to secure 5.40 crore rupees net, concluding its second week in cinemas.
With these recent numbers factored in, the cumulative net collection for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ in India has reached approximately 447.30 crore rupees. Its overall gross collection within the country currently hovers around 534.76 crore rupees. The film had previously achieved an impressive 334.75 crore rupees in its inaugural week, followed by an estimated 108.65 crore rupees in its second week. As the film now embarks on its third week with collections falling below the 5 crore rupee mark, industry observers are keenly watching to see if it can still breach the 550 crore rupee threshold by the week’s end.
The film’s third-week slowdown is undeniably linked to the emergence of fierce competition from the Bollywood production ‘Awarapan 2.’ This latest offering, which premiered on Friday, has enjoyed a robust opening.
