Peddi Hindi release is set to get a substantial boost as Jio Studios steps in to distribute the Ram Charan-led sports drama across North India.
Peddi Hindi release backed by Jio Studios
Jio Studios, which recently backed the Dhurandhar franchise, will present Peddi in the Hindi belt, planning a wide rollout on 4 June 2026. Producers confirmed the date and distribution plan at a press meet held to clear earlier confusion around the film’s release schedule. The strategy positions Peddi as a major early-summer offering for Hindi-speaking markets, with Jio’s distribution network expected to secure strong multiplex and single-screen coverage.
Ram Charan’s rising pan-India profile, amplified by his acclaimed turn as Alluri Sitarama Raju in RRR, is seen as a key asset for the film’s Hindi release. Trade observers note that his fan base has grown well beyond the Telugu states after the global success of RRR, making a dedicated Hindi release commercially viable.
Peddi Hindi release built on sports drama appeal
Peddi is an upcoming Telugu-language sports action drama set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, where a spirited villager uses sport to unite his community against a powerful rival. Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film stars Ram Charan as Peddi Pehelwan, with Janhvi Kapoor playing Achiyamma, his love interest.
The ensemble cast also features Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani and Sai Kumar in pivotal roles, with Shruti Haasan appearing in a special song. A.R. Rahman composes the music, while Venkata Satish Kilaru produces under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers associated with the presentation.
Peddi Hindi release eyes pan-India momentum
With Peddi poised to arrive in Hindi alongside its Telugu release, the makers are betting on a blend of Ram Charan’s pan-India appeal, a rooted sports narrative and A.R. Rahman’s music to draw audiences across languages. If the film connects with viewers in the North as expected, the Peddi Hindi release could further consolidate Ram Charan’s position as one of Indian cinema’s most bankable pan-India stars.
