The South film industry gives me time to rehearse and be in my character: Shivangi Verma

Shivangi Verma, who has been working across Hindi and South film industries, opened up about the differences in their working styles. “There is a major difference. The working style is very different, the language is different, and I see cultural differences,” she said. “Over here, people are very fast… they just want to finish the work. Whereas in the South… they are very chill to work with. I get a lot of time to rehearse and be in my character. They are perfectionists… unless they get it right, they don’t move on,” she added. Calling her experience enriching, she shared, “I love working in both industries… I get to experience the fast life and… they go slow with things because they believe in perfection. On language challenges, Shivangi said, “It’s very difficult… but they always help the new talent… in terms of prompting and making the other person learn the dialogues. So I’m not very good with it, but I’m learning.” Speaking about her projects, she added, “I’ve also shot for Tamil projects… a Malayalam horror film… and a Kannada project releasing tomorrow… I’m getting a beautiful response from the South audience.”
