Market Outlook: Top Technical Picks for August 26, 2026
As investors look to navigate current market volatility, technical analysis remains a vital tool for identifying potential entry points in a fluctuating landscape. Mehul Kothari, DVP – Technical Research at Anand Rathi Shares, has unveiled his latest stock market recommendations for August 26, 2026, highlighting three major players: Tata Steel, Max Healthcare Institute, and Narayana Hrudayalaya.
1. Tata Steel: Signaling a Rebound
Tata Steel has recently formed a multiple-bottom pattern within the Rs 180–185 range, a formation that historically suggests strong accumulation by investors at lower price levels. According to Kothari, the stock is bolstered by bullish divergence on the Relative Strength Index (RSI), signaling improving momentum despite recent price testing of support zones.
Furthermore, these bottoms align with the monthly support level of the Camarilla Pivot, reinforcing the stock’s stability. Kothari suggests a buying range of Rs 188–184, with a strict stop-loss at Rs 178. Traders can look for an immediate upside target of Rs 201, provided the support zone holds.
2. Max Healthcare Institute: Harmonic Reversal Potential
Max Healthcare Institute is showing signs of a potential turnaround as it retraces toward the 0.707 Fibonacci level. This movement aligns with the 1.618 AB=CD harmonic completion zone, a technical confluence often associated with trend reversals. Coupled with a bullish RSI divergence, the outlook for the stock remains cautiously optimistic.
Kothari recommends investors consider entries in the Rs 1,020–1,000 zone. To manage risk, a strict stop-loss should be placed at Rs 980, with an eye toward an initial target of Rs 1,070.
3. Narayana Hrudayalaya: Constructive Consolidation
Narayana Hrudayalaya is currently undergoing a corrective phase, having retraced 61.8% of its previous move—a critical Fibonacci level that often acts as a floor for bullish trends. The presence of a “hidden bullish divergence” on the daily RSI suggests that underlying momentum remains robust despite the recent dip.
This setup indicates that the current decline is likely a correction rather than a fundamental reversal. Analysts suggest entering long positions within the 1860–1830 range, targeting a move toward 1975. As long as the stock maintains its current support levels, the technical outlook remains constructive for further upside.
