The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is poised to release the results for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 imminently. Aspiring teachers who participated in this crucial examination will soon be able to ascertain their performance by accessing their scorecards online through the official UPESSC website, upessc.up.gov.in.

The announcement will encompass results for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the UPTET. To retrieve their individual scorecards, candidates will need to utilize their unique login credentials, which include their roll number and password, once the dedicated result link becomes active on the portal.

While the exact UPTET result 2026 date remains unconfirmed by UPESSC, initial expectations pointed towards an announcement around the end of July. However, the commission has yet to finalize and publish this crucial date. The UPTET examination itself was meticulously conducted across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh over three days, from July 2nd to July 4th, 2026. A substantial number of candidates, exceeding 17.7 lakh individuals, appeared for this competitive assessment.

Once the results are formally declared, candidates can easily download their scorecards by following a straightforward process. First, they must navigate to the official UPESSC website at upessc.up.gov.in. Upon reaching the homepage, they should locate and click on the specific UPTET result link. Subsequently, candidates will be prompted to enter their login credentials, including their roll number and password, before clicking ‘Submit’. The UPTET result will then be displayed on the screen. It is strongly advised to download and save the scorecard for personal records and to take a printout for any future requirements.

The UPTET 2026 scorecard is a comprehensive document that will furnish candidates with essential details. These include the candidate’s name, registration number, roll number, date of birth, gender, father’s name, category, the marks obtained in each subject, and the overall qualifying marks. Successful candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be awarded the UPTET certificate, a valuable credential that holds lifetime validity.

Preceding the result declaration, UPESSC had released the provisional UPTET answer key on July 8th. Candidates were provided a window until 11:59 pm on July 14th to raise objections against any answers they believed to be incorrect. These valid objections are currently under review and will be factored into the preparation of the final answer key, which will then be used for the definitive result processing.

The UPTET employs a specific set of qualifying marks based on candidate categories. For General and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, a qualifying percentage of 60% is required, translating to 90 marks out of the total. Candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-servicemen categories need to achieve a qualifying percentage of 55%, equivalent to 82 marks. Paper 1 of the UPTET serves as an eligibility criterion for primary-level teaching positions, while Paper 2 is designed for those aspiring to teach at the upper-primary level.
