Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that on Day 23, the film garnered approximately 27 lakhs in India net collections, with its gross earnings for that single day reaching 31 lakhs. The movie maintained a respectable overall occupancy of 24.1% across 265 screenings nationwide. This recent figure pushes the film’s total India net collection to a substantial 195.29 crores. The consistent downturn in daily earnings reflects a common trend as films progress further into their theatrical run.
Earlier in its journey, ‘Jana Nayagan’ had collected 65 lakhs in India net on Day 21, witnessing a slight uptick to 67 lakhs on Day 22 before the dip to 27 lakhs on Day 23. The cumulative collection for its third week amounted to 9.87 crores. Demonstrating its initial immense popularity, the film had a phenomenal first week, accumulating a staggering 153.55 crores. On Day 8, which marked the second Thursday of its release, the film still managed to pull in 4.05 crores in India net, playing across a remarkable 5,496 shows with an overall occupancy of 16.9%.
Globally, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing the 300 crore mark in worldwide gross collections, with its current total standing at 319.88 crores. Domestically, the film’s India gross collection contributes 226.68 crores to this figure, while international markets have played a crucial role, adding 93.20 crores to the worldwide total. The movie has been screened a staggering 129,231 times throughout its entire theatrical run.
Meanwhile, another significant entertainment event has captivated audiences: Suriya’s latest offering, ‘Vishwanath and Sons.’ Directed by Venky Atluri, this film has made a strong entry into the box office arena, kicking off its run with an impressive opening day performance. On Day 1, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ registered an India net collection of 15.15 crores. According to Sacnilk, the film achieved a worldwide gross of 27.51 crores on its very first day, signaling a promising start for the new release.
