Zack Snyder just made his point without saying a word by posting in Hindi.
Among the posts Snyder shared marking Man of Steel‘s anniversary, one stood out from the rest: a Henry Cavill Superman Man of Steel poster written entirely in Hindi, aimed directly at his fans in India.
And the response made something very clear about where the passion for Snyder’s Superman actually lives.
The Hindi Poster
The image features Henry Cavill’s Superman with the caption “13 साल पहले” — Hindi for “13 years ago” — and the title rendered as “मैन ऑफ़ स्टील” (“Man of Steel”).
Indian fans clocked it immediately, and the comments filled with appreciation.
“Hindi language,” one wrote. “Zack knows about us,” said another. “This is what we want! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.” One fan summed up the surprise: “Damn Hindi poster by Zack in this economy.”
The Likes Tell The Story
Here’s the part that matters.
Snyder posted several images around the anniversary, but the Hindi poster blew past all of them.
It currently sits at over 150,000 likes, compared to roughly 61,000 on the English-language poster and 57,000 on the Man of Steel trailer post.
That’s more than double the engagement of either English post. One poster, aimed at the international audience, outperformed everything else Snyder shared. That’s not an accident, it’s a signal.
This Is The Audience Gunn’s Superman Couldn’t Reach
We’ve been making this argument for a long time: Snyder’s DCEU has an enormous international following — India chief among it — that the current DC films simply haven’t tapped.
The numbers back it up.
As we previously covered, Man of Steel grossed $670 million worldwide in 2013, with $379 million of that coming from overseas — over $545 million in today’s dollars.
By contrast, James Gunn’s Superman (2025) finished its run with a soft international showing of roughly $256 million, less than half of Snyder’s inflation-adjusted overseas haul.
And again, Gunn has publicly pinned the soft overseas numbers on outside forces, telling Rolling Stone there’s “anti-American sentiment around the world right now” working against the film and that Superman simply isn’t a household name in some markets the way Batman is.
The trouble is that the same character, in Snyder’s hands, drew roughly twice the international audience more than a decade earlier — and a Hindi poster pulling 150,000 likes in 2026 doesn’t suggest a fanbase that’s cooled on Superman overseas.
The demand abroad is real. It showed up for Snyder in droves.
