Sreeleela resumes shooting for Kartik Aaryan starrer romantic musical directed by Anurag Basu in Mumbai

Actress Sreeleela is reportedly back on set in Mumbai, resuming filming for her highly anticipated Bollywood debut. She is starring alongside Kartik Aaryan in an upcoming romantic musical helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu. After facing some production delays, the project is now moving forward, with Sreeleela reportedly filming her scenes as scheduled.

Sources indicate that the current shooting schedule in Mumbai is progressing smoothly for the romantic musical, which is described as a large-scale production aiming for an intense and captivating narrative. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan has largely concluded his commitments for the film, with previous reports suggesting he had “more or less” completed his portions. The production had previously encountered several postponements, primarily due to various scheduling conflicts.

Initially, speculation swirled that this film might be the next installment in the popular ‘Aashiqui’ franchise, potentially titled ‘Aashiqui 3’. However, it is now understood that the movie is an original love story and is reportedly titled ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’. It is distinct from the ‘Aashiqui’ series and is being crafted as a standalone romantic musical, where music is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the storyline. The renowned composer Pritam is crafting the film’s musical landscape. Prior to the earlier delays, the movie was reportedly slated for a 2026 release.

This project marks Sreeleela’s foray into Hindi cinema, following a successful and prominent career in South Indian films. Her impressive filmography includes commercially successful ventures such as ‘Dhamaka’, ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’, and ‘Guntur Kaaram’. She also garnered attention for a special song appearance in ‘Pushpa 2’ and was recently seen alongside Pawan Kalyan in ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’. Looking ahead, she also has ‘Om Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood’ in her pipeline. On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan’s last cinematic outing was in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, where he starred opposite Ananya Pandey under the direction of Sameer Vidwans. His upcoming projects include ‘Naagzilla’ and the highly anticipated ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’, further solidifying his presence in the vibrant world of entertainment.
