Fan-Made Bhojpuri Trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ Goes Viral; Fans Demand Official Release

The upcoming cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been one of the most talked-about projects in Indian cinema. With a powerhouse cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, the film is already generating immense global anticipation. While the makers have confirmed releases in multiple languages, a recent fan-made Bhojpuri trailer has taken the internet by storm, sparking a fresh wave of excitement and specific demands from the audience.

A Viral Sensation

Though the project has yet to release an official teaser, social media users have taken matters into their own hands, circulating a fan-made Bhojpuri-dubbed version of the trailer. The clip has left netizens in splits and generated widespread engagement. Fans have expressed genuine amusement, with one user humorously noting, "I was waiting for Ravi Kishan’s voice for Ravana, saying ‘Ghar jake sutti babu’."

The positive reception has led to a grassroots movement online, with fans actively pushing the production team to consider an official Bhojpuri release. One enthusiastic viewer on X (formerly Twitter) suggested that such a version could be a massive commercial success, stating, "They should release it. If promoted correctly, it could easily rake in over Rs 100 crore from regions like UP, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh."

Clarifying the Massive Budget

The film has also been making headlines due to its reported Rs 4,000 crore budget. Addressing this figure during an appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, actor and producer Yash clarified that the number reflects the scope of the production rather than just the filming costs.

"Rs 4,000 crore is the combined budget for the two-part film, including release and promotion," Yash explained. "It is modeled after Hollywood’s financial structure. Our partner, Namit Malhotra, clarified that this covers the entire global rollout. Just as in the West, they spend as much on global promotion as on the production itself, because the revenue potential is also global."

Innovation in Distribution

To ensure a seamless viewing experience across diverse linguistic markets, the production team is reportedly utilizing advanced technology. The film, which is being shot in Hindi, will employ AI-driven dubbing tools, specifically Brahma AI, to ensure precise lip-syncing for all dubbed versions.

The epic is set for a grand release in two parts, with the first installment slated to hit theatres this Diwali, followed by the second part the following year. While the film is confirmed for release in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English—with potential future expansions into Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish—it remains to be seen whether the filmmakers will heed the public demand for a Bhojpuri version.
