Solihull College Senior Leadership Team Commits to Climate Action Through Carbon Literacy Training

SOLIHULL, UK – As the new academic term begins, Solihull College and University Centre is positioning itself at the forefront of environmental stewardship. In a proactive move to address the escalating climate emergency, the institution’s senior leadership team has completed an intensive Carbon Literacy Training program designed to turn awareness into actionable institutional change.

The training session, which involved 15 members of the college’s senior staff, provided a comprehensive deep dive into the complexities of the climate crisis. Key topics included the fundamental causes and impacts of global warming, the intricacies of international climate policy, the importance of climate justice, and strategies for effective climate communication.

The workshop was expertly facilitated by Dr. Megan Wakefield, a college lecturer and sustainability curriculum lead, alongside colleague Craig McCauley.
