GTU Releases Summer 2026 Results: Important Deadlines for Re-checking and Re-assessment

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has officially declared the results for its May 2026 examination cycle, bringing clarity to thousands of students awaiting their academic performance reports. The university has released the results for the Diploma Semester 2 (Regular) and BE Semester 3 (Remedial) examinations, alongside the re-check and re-assessment outcomes for MBA Semester 4 students.

As the university moves forward with the post-examination process, students who wish to challenge their marks have been given a tight window to submit their applications.

Key Deadlines and Application Process

Students unsatisfied with their grades have until August 27, 2026, to apply for re-checking or re-assessment. To initiate the request, candidates must follow the established university protocol:

  1. Access the Portal: Log in to the official GTU Student Portal using your unique enrollment number and password.
  2. Submit Request: Navigate to the ‘Exam’ section and select the ‘Re-check or Re-assessment Application’ option. After selecting the specific subjects, an application number will be generated.
  3. Complete Payment: Fee payment must be finalized through the SBI Collect platform. Students should select “Gujarat Technological University” as the institution and navigate to the “Recheck/Reassessment Fee” category.

The university has set the fee structure at Rs 100 per subject for re-checking and Rs 250 per subject for re-assessment. Payments can be processed securely via UPI, Net Banking, or credit/debit cards. It is highly recommended that students retain their payment receipts for future verification.

Understanding the GTU Grading System

The results are presented based on GTU’s 10-point grading system, which evaluates students through SPI (Semester Performance Index) and CPI (Cumulative Performance Index). The system correlates letter grades to specific points:

GradeGrade Points
AA10
AB9
BB8
BC7
CC6
CD5
DD4
FF0

The SPI is derived by calculating the weighted average of grade points across the current semester’s credits, while the CPI tracks the student’s holistic performance across their entire academic journey at the university.

Stay Updated

With the GTU Summer 2026 results now available, students are urged to review their scorecards carefully. Beyond the current application window, students should regularly monitor the official GTU student portal and university notifications for any further updates regarding examination schedules or administrative announcements.

Candidates are reminded that the August 27 deadline is final, and no requests will be entertained after the cutoff date.
