UPSC Declares CAPF (Assistant Commandants) Exam 2026 Results: Next Steps for Shortlisted Candidates
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the results for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the written examination held on July 19 can now verify their status and check if their roll numbers have been shortlisted for the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
The commission has released the merit list in a PDF format, which is accessible to all applicants. Those who have successfully cleared the written phase are now eligible to appear for the Physical Standards Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Mandatory Requirements for Shortlisted Candidates
The candidature for all qualified individuals remains provisional. To proceed to the physical testing stage, candidates must complete the following steps within 15 days of the result declaration:
- Update Profile: Candidates must log in to the official UPSC portal to update their educational qualifications, employment history, and personal details, including parental information, marital status, and force preferences.
- DAF Submission: It is mandatory to submit the updated online application form. Even candidates who have previously uploaded their information must review their data and perform a final submission.
- Documentation: A printout of the finally submitted DAF is essential. This document will be required during the PST/PET and is necessary for generating the e-Summon letter for the final Personality Test/Interview.
PST/PET Schedule and Reporting
The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been designated as the nodal authority for the upcoming physical tests. The SSB will announce the specific dates, times, and venues for the PST/PET on its official recruitment website.
Candidates are advised to monitor their registered email addresses and the SSB portal regularly. Once issued, e-Admit cards will be available online. When appearing for the physical tests, candidates must carry their e-Admit card, the hard copy of their submitted DAF, and a valid photo ID (such as an Aadhaar card, driving license, passport, or voter ID).
Verification of Eligibility Claims
Original documents supporting age, educational qualifications, and category-based reservations (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Ex-Servicemen) must be produced during the Personality Test. Crucially, all caste and reservation-related certificates must have been issued on or before the application deadline of March 12, 2026.
Status for Non-Qualifying Candidates
For those who did not qualify for this round, the UPSC has confirmed that individual marksheets will be published on the official website following the conclusion of the entire recruitment process (after the final results are declared). These marksheets will be accessible for 30 days using the candidate’s roll number and date of birth.
