Gold and Silver Price Outlook: Analysts See Continued Bullish Momentum as Targets Rise

As of August 27, 2026, the commodities market is showing renewed strength, with gold and silver exhibiting promising technical patterns that suggest further upside potential. Market experts are advising investors to view recent consolidations as buying opportunities rather than signals of a trend reversal.

Abhilash Koikkara, Head of Forex & Commodities at Nuvama Professional Clients Group, noted that gold continues to demonstrate encouraging signs, maintaining a firm bullish trajectory in the near term. Silver, while currently exhibiting a more sideways-to-positive bias, also maintains a strong base trend that supports further gains.

MCX Gold: Eyeing the Rs 170,000 Milestone

MCX gold has successfully entered a consolidation phase after testing its May 2026 highs. The fact that the commodity is holding steady near these peaks is being interpreted by analysts as a bullish indicator.

According to market experts, the Rs 156,000 level serves as the critical support floor. Any price dips toward this zone are expected to attract fresh buying interest. The technical outlook remains robust, with a potential target of Rs 170,000. For traders looking for confirmation of renewed momentum, a sustained daily close above Rs 164,500 would signal that the bulls have regained total control.

Trading Strategy for Gold:

  • CMP: Rs 161,900
  • Target: Rs 170,000
  • Stop-loss: Rs 156,000

MCX Silver: Maintaining the Upward Trajectory

Silver is currently consolidating near its monthly highs following a breakout from a descending triangle pattern. Analysts view this recent pullback as a “healthy retest” of the breakout levels rather than a sign of weakness.

The support floor for silver is firmly established at Rs 239,000. As long as the price maintains this level, the near-term technical outlook remains positive. Silver is currently looking to clear immediate resistance at Rs 249,000, which would pave the way for a move toward the Rs 256,000 target. With momentum indicators trending in the right direction, the broader outlook for silver remains decidedly bullish.

Trading Strategy for Silver:

  • CMP: Rs 243,200
  • Target: Rs 256,000
  • Stop-loss: Rs 239,000

For investors closely monitoring the markets, a comprehensive gold price outlook remains essential for navigating the current volatility and identifying optimal entry points.
