The South Indian film industry is witnessing a season of remarkable box office performances, headlined by the sustained success of the Suriya and Mamitha Baiju starrer, Vishwanath and Sons. Despite a natural week-two dip, Vishwanath and Sons remains a crowd favorite. According to data from Sacnilk, the film secured an estimated Rs 1.30 crore net in India on its 14th day, bringing its total domestic net collection to an impressive Rs 109.15 crore. With an additional Rs 61.25 crore generated from overseas markets, the film’s total worldwide gross has now surged to Rs 187.55 crore.
The second week alone contributed Rs 27.55 crore to the film’s domestic tally, showcasing a steady hold on the market following a strong opening week of Rs 81.60 crore.

Occupancy metrics reveal a strong preference for late-night screenings. For the Tamil version, night shows saw an occupancy of 42.67%, while the Telugu version maintained an overall steady interest, peaking during night shows at 25.33%.

In parallel, the Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer DC has achieved a significant milestone of its own, officially crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in worldwide gross. As of its most recent updates, DC has reached a worldwide total of Rs 101.20 crore.
The film’s domestic performance is anchored heavily by its Tamil version, which accounts for Rs 47.28 crore of its total net collections. While daily earnings for DC have tapered off to below the Rs 1 crore mark in recent days, the film has firmly cemented its place as a commercial success.
