Maharashtra 3-Year LLB 2026: Second Admission List Released, 9,314 Candidates Offered Seats
MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially released the second list for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for the 3-Year LLB course for the 2026-27 academic session. This latest phase of the admission cycle marks a significant step forward for thousands of aspiring law students across the state.
According to the official data released by the CET Cell, a total of 29,898 candidates submitted their college preferences for this round. Out of these applicants, 9,314 students have been successfully offered seats in various law institutions. These allotments were drawn from a total pool of 14,101 available seats.
Admission Timeline and Requirements
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the second round must act promptly to finalize their enrollment. The CET Cell has mandated that all selected students must physically report to their respective allotted colleges between August 31, 2026, and September 2, 2026.
During this reporting period, students are required to:
- Submit all mandatory academic and personal documents for verification.
- Pay the prescribed admission fees to secure their seats.
Failure to complete these formalities within the stipulated timeframe may result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.
Progress of the Admission Cycle
The current allotment follows a successful first round of admissions, which saw 5,821 students secure their spots in prestigious law colleges across Maharashtra. This initial figure included 5,377 students admitted through the standard CAP process and an additional 444 candidates under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.
As the competition for seats intensifies, many students are closely monitoring the upcoming vacancy status. For those who were not successful in the second round, or those looking for different college options, the CET Cell will publish the tentative list of vacant seats for the third round on September 4, 2026.
