Anker Targets Better Rest with New Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 and 4 Pro
For side-sleepers and light sleepers alike, finding a comfortable way to block out noise—whether it’s a snoring partner or the hum of the city—is a persistent challenge. Anker is looking to solve that problem once again with the announcement of its latest hardware: the Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 and 4 Pro.
Building on the foundation laid by last year’s well-received A30 sleepbuds, the new lineup promises to refine the sleep-focused audio experience with improved noise cancellation, extended battery life, and a more ergonomic design.
Refined Design for Maximum Comfort
Recognizing that physical comfort is paramount when wearing devices to bed, Anker has reduced the contact area of both the 4 and 4 Pro models by 20 percent compared to the previous generation. This reduction in footprint is intended to minimize pressure points against the pillow, making them significantly more comfortable for those who prefer to sleep on their sides.
Intelligent Audio and Battery Upgrades
Under the hood, both models feature an upgraded Bluetooth v6.0 radio, ensuring a stable connection for streaming music, podcasts, or audiobooks. According to Anker, users can expect up to 8 hours of playback with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) enabled, or 11 hours with it disabled. For those relying on the device’s local playback of pre-loaded soundscapes, the stamina stretches even further: 9.5 hours with ANC on and up to 14.5 hours with it off.
The ANC technology itself has been enhanced, providing a more robust shield against environmental disturbances compared to the A30.
The “Pro” Advantage: Screens and Sensors
The standout feature of the higher-end Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro is its unique “SleepHub” charging case. Staying true to Anker’s penchant for adding displays to its accessories, the 4 Pro case features an integrated OLED screen. This allows users to manage their audio, check sleep statistics, and set alarms directly from the case, bypassing the need to fumble with a phone in the middle of the night.
The Pro model also includes an advanced in-ear PPG sensor. Much like the biometric sensors found in premium earbuds from Apple and Sennheiser, this hardware tracks heart rate and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to assess real-time stress, fatigue, and recovery. Anker utilizes this data for its “BioSync” feature, which automatically adjusts soothing audio tracks to help guide the user into a deeper state of relaxation.
Pricing and Availability
Anker is staggering the release of its new sleep-focused lineup throughout the autumn:
- Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4: Launching in October for $229.99 / £199.99. Available in white and blue at launch, with a pink variant expected to follow.
- Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro: Arriving in November for $349.99 / £299.99. This model will also be available in refined white and blue colorways.
With both cases supporting wireless charging, Anker is positioning these buds as the ultimate tool for those looking to upgrade their nightly routine through a blend of biometric tracking and sophisticated noise masking. Whether these features can truly deliver a better night’s sleep is a question that remains to be answered in real-world testing.
