The management team at McGowan Environmental has completed a buyout of the business from BRUSH Group.
The deal, led by Sam Hesling and Kyle McGowan, sees the Aviemore-based firm return to independent ownership, with both becoming directors. All 24 employees will remain with the business.
McGowan Environmental was previously acquired by Loughborough-based BRUSH in November 2024 as part of a wider deal for the McGowan Group, which included McGowan Infrastructure and Eco Cable Protect UK. Those businesses are not part of the transaction and remain within BRUSH’s portfolio.

McGowan Environmental delivers environmental engineering and restoration projects for public and private sector clients, with recent investment focused on expanding its capabilities in peatland restoration and outdoor access work.
