Kamakshi Bhaskarla, is prepared to feature in Adivi Sesh‘s movie Dacoit. She was awarded the title of Femina Miss India Telangana in 2018 and made her cinematic debut with Priyuraalu in 2021, gaining acclaim for her role in Maa Oori Polimera. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, the actress shares insights about her experience working in Dacoit. She discussed her collaboration with renowned filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap and actress Mrunal Thakur. Kamakshi Bhaskarla recounts her time on the Dacoit set as captivating, particularly as she shared the screen with Anurag Kashyap and Mrunal Thakur. Remembering her first day, she notes it was memorable not only due to the typical nerves but also because she was paired with Kashyap for an emotionally charged scene. The filming required shooting in both Telugu and Hindi, presenting a fresh learning opportunity for all participants. Discussing her interactions with Anurag Kashyap, she highlights how they supported one another throughout the shoot. “We ended up assisting each other,” she mentions, explaining that while Anurag Kashyap helped her with Hindi lines, she aided him with Telugu pronunciation since he is not fluent in the language.

She further noted that Anurag Kashyap praised her performance on set, especially her capacity to express emotion through her eyes. He also remarked that her casting was perfect. The scene included Zayn Marie Khan (Aamir Khan’s niece), adding depth and interest to the setup. Beyond the filming, Kamakshi spoke highly of Anurag Kashyap’s character and filmmaking style. She described him as someone who arrives on set “like a blank canvas,” receptive to ideas and devoid of hierarchy despite his extensive experience.

“Kashyap sir, as an actor, fully commits to the director’s vision. Our discussions on set revolved around filmmaking. I also expressed my admiration for Sacred Games due to its morally intricate characters.”

Kamakshi feels thankful for the recognition and admires Mrunal’s journey. “At the Dacoit pre-release event, Mrunal commended me, stating that I had great potential. I also expressed my gratitude to her for her perseverance in her career, which has made her an inspiration for aspiring actors.”

The film has already started to create excitement, with prominent industry figures supporting the project. Despite its profound emotional layers, Adivi Sesh describes the film as fundamentally a feel-good love story.
