Vice President Sara Duterte admitted that she does not know how to use a computer as she denied rumors circulating online involving her and lawyer Michael Poa.
During an interview in The Hague, Duterte dismissed social media claims alleging that she threw a laptop at Poa.
“Basurang gossip,” Duterte said when asked about the issue.
The Vice President stressed that no such incident ever happened involving any of her staff or colleagues.
According to Duterte, she would not throw gadgets at anyone because she personally pays for her own devices and replacing them is expensive.
She also revealed that she rarely uses a laptop and is not knowledgeable in operating computers.
“Hindi ako marunong gumamit ng computer,” Duterte admitted.
The Vice President said she only occasionally uses a laptop during Zoom meetings and clarified that the laptop she uses is personally owned and not government-issued.
The remarks came amid continued political controversies surrounding Duterte while she remains in The Hague meeting Filipino supporters and addressing issues linked to her impeachment case and criticisms against the administration.
