7 Brew, CGI construction, Temple Bar ownership change

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – In Webster, construction on a new 7 Brew is underway on Empire Boulevard. The drive-thru coffee chain is being bult next to Baytowne Plaza and is expected to open this summer.

Another 7 Brew restaurant is proposed along Hard Road in Webster. Those plans were tabled by the planning board until early June.

In the city of Rochester, Ice Cream Plus is now open on East Main Street. Crews spent most of 2025 building the property. The shop is next to Jim’s On Main and Blackfriars Theatre, and is a short walk from the West Herr Auditorium Theatre (RBTL).

Downtown Rochester’s Temple Bar and Grill is under new ownership on East Avenue. Three Daughters Tap and Tavern has an extensive food and drink menu with burgers, wraps, salads, and more. There is also a pizzeria attached next door under the same Three Daughters brand.

Finally, redevelopment on the former CGI Communications Building is taking shape. Crews are removing the glass panels and uncovering the historic structure underneath. Apartments and street-level commercial space are slated to move in.

News 8 has reached out to the developer for more information on the project and is waiting to hear back.
