Tollywood Star Ram Charan is basking in the success of his latest release, ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Recently the director shared his thoughts on working in a Hindi film after his forgetful debut with the 2013 film ‘Zanjeer’ he played the lead alongside Priyanka Chopra.While speaking with IANS, Ram Charan shared that he does not like to separate films based on language and feels cinema should be viewed as a united industry. “I don’t know Hindi cinema or Telugu cinema. I’m doing an Indian film. I think let’s keep it that way,” he stated.

He also revealed his interest in working with directors from different parts of the country. He shared he is open to collaborate with filmmakers regardless of the language. “I would like to work with a director from Bombay. I’d like to work with a director from Bengal. I would like to work with a director from Tamil Nadu. I’d like to work with everybody,” he said.
Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut
For the unversed, Ram Charan entered Bollywood with ‘Zanjeer’, a remake of the 1973 classic of the same name. The film was released as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual and featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas opposite him. In the movie, he played ACP Vijay Khanna, a police officer determined to take revenge on the man responsible for his parents’ death.The original ‘Zanjeer’, released in 1973, was directed by Prakash Mehra and starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Pran, Ajit Khan, Om Prakash and Bindu in key roles.Years later, he made a special appearance in Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. His brief appearance in the song ‘Yentamma’ became a talking point among fans.
About ‘Peddi’
Speaking of his latest release, ‘Peddi’, the film is a sports action drama which features Ram Charan alongwith Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The film also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan among others in important roles.
