Why experts warn against self-prescribing the popular longevity molecule used by Gwyneth Paltrow and Hailey Bieber


Perhaps it was inevitable that Gwyneth Paltrow’s beauty brand, goop, would launch a NAD+ moisturiser, given the star’s predilection for a gimmick. The announcement gave me pause, though, because recently, a trio of trusted friends told me they were taking NAD+ supplements and were enjoying better sleep and energy levels, and less brain fog.

Their endorsements carry far more weight for me than Gwyneth’s support, or Hailey Bieber’s. The founder of beauty unicorn Rhode once joked of NAD+ IV infusions: “I’m going to do NAD+ for the rest of my life and I’m never going to age!” So I started asking around.
