Amey has been awarded a place on the Government Commercial Agency’s Construction Professional Services 2 (CPS2) Framework, strengthening its ability to provide advisory and engineering services to government departments, public sector bodies and third sector organisations across the UK.
The CPS2 framework is worth up to £3.5bn over a four-year period and will enable the provision of technical consultancy services to the UK public sector, including dedicated Environment Agency lots covering flood risk, environmental services and commercial management.
As a supplier on the framework, Amey’s Advisory business will provide a suite of multidisciplinary professional services including design and advisory, project management, commercial, technical, environmental, and engineering services, supporting the planning, delivery and management of complex infrastructure and built environment programmes.
As part of the framework appointment, Amey secured places in six lots of services including three as a prime advisory partner in general infrastructure and built environment, project management, and defence, establishing a direct route to market for Defence services and supporting national critical infrastructure programmes. In addition to this, Amey has also been appointed to all three of the Environment Agency’s Flood Risk and Asset Management (FRAM) Lots including Technical, Environmental, Commercial and programme management services, in partnership with JBA Consulting. This marks Amey’s first major framework appointment with the Environment Agency and a significant step into the environment sector.
Colin Wood, Consulting Managing Director, for Amey, said: “We are pleased to have secured a place on the Construction Professional Services 2 framework, building on our longstanding track record of supporting public sector clients across large-scale estates, including in the defence, justice and education sectors. This appointment reflects the strength of our advisory and engineering capability and provides a strong platform for our teams to deliver a wide range of technical services that support complex and nationally significant programmes. We ae also delighted to be working in partnership with JBA Consulting and look forward to supporting the Environment Agency in delivering its ambitions for nature recovery, climate resilience and the protection and enhancement of our environment.”
This new framework appointment is further recognition of Amey’s growing expertise and footprint in the defence and environment markets with its fully integrated, multidisciplinary built environment advisory services. The news builds on Amey’s recent defence contract wins including its new airfield ancillary equipment project contract and its Defence Equipment & Support contract, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, further strengthening its position as a key provider of UK defence equipment services. These latest contract and framework wins highlight Amey’s ability to bring together technical, commercial and environmental expertise to help public‑sector clients address increasingly complex infrastructure, resilience and asset management challenges.
