The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has updated the areas for flood warnings with two sections of the region now split.
The existing flood warning area for Selkirk has been carved into two.
The sections are now Philiphaugh to Bannerfield and Murrays Cauld to Riverside Industrial Estate.
The Preston to Paxton area has also been split, with the new warnings covering Preston to Allanton and Allanton to Paxton.
The latest update uses data and evidence from previous flooding events and from existing and new flood defences.
There are 30 flood warning areas across the Borders, taking the two new additional areas into account.
Residents who are already signed up for alerts from Floodline in these areas are advised to double-check which area they are receiving alerts for.
Residents can sign up for flood warning alerts though Floodline to receive free messages by phone, text or email.
